Dukes Bailiffs achieved an outstanding result on behalf of a Staffordshire Council recently, recovering a whopping £93k non-domestic rates debt within one hour in a single visit.

The reluctant retailer's store in question is a large premise based in Hanley, part of a national chain and the local debt had been mounting over a period of months.

Dukes' Managing Director Colin Naylor said "Councils take their responsibilities on this kind of debt very seriously and this collection by our bailiff is a significant success for both the Council and Dukes. Ratepayers are entitled to expect prompt effective action in recovering this sort of debt and we are pleased we played our part. Recouping this amount is an excellent example of the positive results Dukes achieves collecting many other types of business debts on a daily basis."
